This project not only resolved the customer's issue of wasted photovoltaic (PV) power generation but also, with the reliability of its large-capacity backup power source, became the "Guardian of Power" for the customer's home. PART 1: Project Background – From “Waste” to “Value-Add,” from “Worry” to “Peace of Mind”

The customer had already installed a 40kW photovoltaic power generation system. However, as it was not grid-connected, excess electricity generated during the daytime could not be sold back to the grid, resulting in wasted energy and underutilization of the PV system's value.

Additionally, the customer had high-power equipment requiring continuous operation at home, and the area was prone to power outages or voltage instability. Any power interruption would risk significant economic losses. Therefore, the customer urgently needed a solution that could both consume the excess PV electricity and serve as a large-capacity, high-power backup power source.

PART 2: The Homsun Solution – A Tailored Integrated PV + Storage Approach

Addressing the customer's unique needs, our technical team conducted an in-depth site survey and proposed a professional integrated "PV + Storage" solution:

1. Core Energy Storage: Large Capacity + Scenario Integration

The Homsun 144kWh large-capacity residential energy storage cabinet, with its sleek white exterior, blends into the modern-style rooftop of the customer's home. Its fully waterproof steel structure withstands outdoor weather conditions. The surface cooling grilles ensure equipment performance while creating a visually harmonious effect with the surroundings, truly achieving a balance of «function and aesthetics».

The substantial 144kWh energy reserve provides stable power to critical loads for extended periods during grid outages, completely eliminating the customer's concerns about power interruptions. More importantly, it perfectly absorbs and stores excess PV electricity, converting otherwise wasted "sunlight" into readily available "green power," maximizing the utilization of solar energy.

2. Powerful Inversion: Efficiency and Neatness Balanced

To ensure the prolonged stable operation of the customer's high-power equipment, the project included a 40kW high-performance inverter. The inverter was mounted on the wall above the storage cabinet, with neatly organized wiring. This compact "top-bottom linkage" layout not only saves space but also presents a well-ordered system, reflecting Homsun Energy Storage's professional installation standards.

3. Design Ingenuity: Solving High-Rise Installation Challenges

The project was installed on a fourth-floor rooftop and needed to be placed on an outdoor step. Facing these specific conditions, we opted not to use the standard commercial and industrial (C&I) storage model (1P52S) but precisely selected a compact 1P24S energy storage product. With a height of less than 1 meter and a width under 1.2 meters, it offers large capacity while minimizing volume, facilitating hoisting and reducing ground pressure.

After installation, it was positioned adjacent to a glass sliding door, without encroaching on the rooftop's main activity areas (such as the lounge or green plant display zones), perfectly solving the challenges of "difficult high-rise transportation and large installation footprint."
